Architectural Work
UW COURSEWORK
2024-2026
The program at UW-Madison has challenged me creatively in a way that stretched my ability to think abstractly while considering spaces that physically and practically exist. My design process has become more dynamic and efficient, while maintaining the goals that brought me back to school in the first place: human-centered, psycho-socially aware, inclusive, environmentally conscious, and aiding better physical and mental health for anyone who interacts with the design.
TIPTOE
Spring 2026
Given free reign to design a boutique hotel by adaptively reusing an old industrial building in downtown Madison, I sought to create a retreat for visitors to find seclusion, while still feeling integrated into the vibrant textures of a lively city. This project is currently ongoing. Images of further developments will be posted as they come to fruition.
ANTIKYTHERA
Spring 2026
Our design studio cohort was recruited to propose ideas for the University of Wisconsin’s 16,000 SF remodel of the 2nd floor of the Memorial Library. The client asked for a research, work, and event space that welcomes and serves all members of the UW campus working with current technology, and years into the future. After just 5 weeks of work, my teammate and I propose a vision for the space that is future forward, but grounded in the familiar. Digital technology has a foundation in the analog world, and is shaped by the humans who interact with it. Because of this, our design seeks to draw on natural elements and materials that ground us in the physical world, while organizing the entire design in a way that makes it versatile and moldable to changing programmatic requirements.
STUDIO UP-GRADIENT
Fall 2025
For a space created by and for designers, the current Interior Architecture Studio in the School of Human Ecology at UW-Madison does not inspire or fully support the work of the students who utilize it. From floor plan to amenities, the current design lacks functionality. But beyond that the space lacks personality to draw people in, and help students take ownership in their education. Teamed up with another student, the studio is re-imagined to maximize its potential, and thoroughly explored our proposed interventions with custom-designed furniture, 3D printed models, and hand drawings.
BODEGAS VINIVAL
Fall 2025
Based on a Terra Viva architecture competition prompt, which was open to professionals and students alike, this project reimagines an abandoned and unique winery in Valencia, Spain as a community center point, reinvigorated with purpose. As a group of 4 students, we completely redesigned the site, building exterior, interior, and programming to lean into the beauty of something broken, while refining the architecture into something more memorable and impactful
COMMON THREADS
Spring 2025
Branded as the “Common Threads” building, my plan for the expansion of a local intergenerational housing community carried the concept of “Follow Me” throughout. My goal was to create a space that allows individuals to share their stories and knowledge, while recognizing the interwoven nature of the lives of residents, regardless of age. Playful furniture and design elements can be seen in many spaces, while acoustic baffles with a bounding ribbon occupying the hallway help with wayfinding.
WASHBURN OBSERVATORY
Fall 2024
Factoring in the historical site and building, as well as the client’s requirements, my design became centered on the verticality of the spaces, as they relate to the human fascination with celestial happenings. The building is made approachable and applicable to various stakeholders on the UW campus, while still affording privacy and territoriality to those staying in the long and short term units.
